Shut UP!

// July 17th, 2009 // Uncategorized

Have you stopped lately to evaluate the things that come out of your mouth? Do you speak words of faith and favor or words of failure and foolishness? What’s coming out of your mouth? You need to take the time to evaluate your words to ensure that your words are lining up with your faith.

Too often, people spend countless hours talking trash, trash about people, things, and stuff that they have no business talking about. You know, people think they have the right to say anything they want all while claiming freedom of speech. Let me serve you notice. There is no freedom of speech in God. You don’t have the right to say what you want in God. You have to learn how to bridle your tongue and learn a little restraint. Keeping your mouth closed is the beginning of a successful, purposeful life. Most people fall because they think “shut up” is a bad word and don’t do it.

Shut up is not a bad word. It’s only bad when you don’t learn how to do it.  This is how you shut up. Take your bottom lip and connect it to your top lip…and start praying. Then, pray to shut down the thoughts that can cause you to open your mouth too soon.

    Now that is a word! The more we talk, the less we hear. In all actuality, if we shut-up and pray, then we are still talking, just in the spirit, and if we shut-up a little while longer, we just may be able to hear GOD speaking to us. Thank you for that word.

    Shut up is a good thing when used correctly. I
    have learned how to shut up. People can’t read you when you shut up. That is a word from God in this season for me.I need to hear what God is saying over my life. I can’t afford to miss it this time.
    AMEN !!!

    My God! I never knew ” shut up ” is an advice to every child of God no matter the mood, or tone in which it is being directed to you. I just connected my upper and lower lips together for a few minutes and prayed. Guess what! I heard God’s voice audibly and He said to me ” That’s it my son. Teach my childrem in the church to talk less so they can hear more from me “. Thank you soooo much.
