It’s Not Emotional!

// June 20th, 2009 // No Comments » // purpose, vision and destiny

Over the last couple of weeks, this seems to be the banner that I have been waiving in the face of many believers and non-believers for that matter. “It’s not emotional.” I have come to find that so many people tend to get side tracked because of their emotions. Things happen daily that can side track you. Mature people know that there are some circumstances that are designed to get you off track. The one way to get a person off focus is to get to their emotions. Some people just end up being emotional wrecks due to the circumstances of life and people with whom they are associated.
If you find someone that is an emotional wreck, then you will find a person that is not focused on their purpose and their future. Now, let me say this. I do have emotions, but I fight daily to allow my faith to lead me and not my emotions. This takes discipline. People are off the chain and will work to get you off track. For some of us, it’s easy to get off track, and they know it.
I want to encourage you to focus on your faith and your future. Don’t let people and folk and stuff and things and people and friends and foes…get you off track. Don’t be so emotional. Don’t let your enemies and circumstances keep you so bottled up. Don’t let anything that is not propelling your towards your purpose gain your attention. Don’t sit around depressed because you think people should be different. Don’t sit around weeping and crying over things that are over and done with. Forge ahead and check your emotions. Let your purpose lead you and not your emotions. It’s okay to feel, but let your faith lead you and not your feelings. You won’t always feel good, but your faith will always lead you into a greater place in GOD.
